HPE Virtual Connect Firmware 4.4x – Applying a Virtual Connect Server Profile Causes SR-IOV (Single Root I/O Virtualization) to be Enabled in the System BIOS and May Result in a Server Network Outage

When applying an HP Virtual Connect server profile, Virtual Connect Firmware Version 4.4x will automatically enable SR-IOV in the BIOS of HPE c-Class server blades which have the SR-IOV disabled and one or more SR-IOV capable Converged Network Adapters installed. This may disrupt network connections for the server by causing changes to the PCI NIC enumeration when the server is rebooted.
